For anyone who’s been an athlete their whole life then gets sidelined from injury, weight gain can come on quickly once you’re inactive. And like everyone who’s tried & struggled to lose weight, failure can also come quickly. Fortunately, 25 years & 90 extra pounds later, I met Julie. Failure is no longer an option for me.
I had my “a-ha” moment when Julie gave a one hour chat at my chiropractor’s office about the effects of sugar on the body. Less than 15 minutes in, I knew I’d had my last soda & that she was about to be my new best friend! Six months later and 45 pounds lighter, (so far), Julie’s the smartest decision I’ve made regarding my health.

There are no more excuses if you really want to change your life but you have to be absolutely ready because this is not dieting, it’s a lifestyle & you have to be willing to commit. You’re no longer going to eat pizza on a traditional crust, as you know it, but there are alternatives. You just have to adapt & as long as you’re willing to adapt, you will be successful!! But know that your health should be your first concern. The weight loss is just an added bonus as a result of your body getting the proper nutrition it needs rather than what it doesn’t.
As a result of Julie’s guidance, I sleep better, have more energy, exercise more (without complaining), have less pain issues, feel more alert & absolutely do not miss the pizza, Taco Bell, fries, chips or any of the other horrible foods that used to make up my daily routine. Okay, so maybe I kinda miss my favorite pancakes & syrup but there’s an alternative for that as well & not only is it much healthier, I actually like them! I no longer feel that lethargic, downward slide that I used to feel midday as a result of my poor food choices. And now I move more too! I got a keyboard lift for my desk so that I can stand rather than sit all day. I also have an exercise ball to sit on as well so there’s no excuse not to exercise…….what better way to get your crunches in than at your desk on a ball!! And for those times sitting in a chair, who needs a thigh master when you can use the ball in the same way!!
